Sri Sri Ravishankar Bal Mandir

Siliguri is a busy place, and Church Road is usually right in the middle of all that activity. We are located in the National Commerce House Bldg, specifically on the 1St Floor at 14 A. It is an older building, the kind where the stairs are a bit narrow and you can hear the sounds of the street quite clearly from inside. Sri Sri Ravishankar Bal Mandir is basically a series of rooms where we spend our days with the children. It is not a huge, sprawling campus; it is a very local, neighborhood school. You can hear the rickshaws honking and the people talking in the shops downstairs while we are trying to do our lessons. The walls are decorated with some drawings the kids made, and we have the usual small chairs and tables scattered around. In Siliguri, the weather can be quite unpredictable, so we are always prepared for a sudden downpour that makes the roof loud. We do not have any fancy marketing teams or glossy brochures. We just open the doors in the morning, sweep the floors, and wait for the parents to drop their kids off. The 1St Floor gets a bit warm in the summer, but we keep the fans going. It is a simple setup in a practical location, right here in the 734001 area. Most of us have been working here a long time and know the shopkeepers on the ground floor by name.
