High Tide Bar

High Tide Bar is located inside The Gateway Hotel on Old Port Road in Mangalore. We’ve been here for a while, right near the State Bank of India. It’s just a place where people from around Mangalore come to sit down after work. The Old Port area is usually busy with traffic and business, so having a spot here makes sense for anyone passing through or staying at the hotel. It’s not a fancy setup, just a regular bar where you can get a drink and talk. We see a lot of locals and some travelers too. The staff here mostly knows the regulars by name. We don't do anything too complicated with the menu. It gets a bit loud on some nights, but that’s just how it is in this neighborhood. Sometimes the humidity in Mangalore is a bit much, but being inside the hotel helps keep things cool. You can find us pretty easily if you know where the big bank is. People come in, have their usual, and head home. It’s a straightforward kind of place. We don't try to be anything else besides a bar on Old Port Road. If you are near the port, you probably passed by the building already. It has been part of the neighborhood for quite a bit. Nothing too special to say, just that we are here and open for business. The lights are usually kept dim, and the chairs are okay. It’s just a place to be.
