Our school, Vishwakarma Gayatri U B Vidhyalay, is based in the town of Shehera within the Panchmahal district. It’s a typical local school where we handle the daily education of children from the neighborhood. The building is located in a spot that’s easy for most families to reach on foot or by bike. We have several rooms dedicated to different grades, and things can get pretty lively during the changeovers between periods. The walls are painted a plain color, and we have the usual charts and maps hanging up. Our staff is made up of people who have lived in this area for a long time. We don't use a lot of complicated systems here; we keep our records in big registers and manage things by hand. The playground is just a patch of open ground where the kids play kabaddi or just run around when they have free time. In the afternoons, the sun hits the front of the building, so we have to keep the shutters partially closed. We focus on the regular subjects like math, science, and languages. There isn’t much fuss or bother here. We just open the gates in the morning, do our teaching, and close up once the last student has left. It’s a practical environment for learning without any unnecessary extras. Most parents in Shehera know us simply as the local Vidhyalay where their children spend their mornings.
