Shri Sarvoday Vidhya Mandir

Shri Sarvoday Vidhya Mandir is located in Shehera, which is in the Panchmahal district. It is a very rural area, so the school is a big part of the community here. The address is easy to find once you are in the main part of town. The building itself is a bit spread out. We have a courtyard in the middle where we do the morning assembly. It gets very dusty because the ground is just dry earth. We don't have a lot of money for fancy decorations, so the walls are mostly bare except for some charts the students made. The teachers come from different parts of the district, and some of us have a long commute every day. We carry our lunch boxes and eat together in the small staffroom. The furniture is old, and the fans make a clicking noise that you eventually stop noticing. Life in Shehera is quiet for the most part, and the school follows that same pace. We have some problems with the water supply now and then, but we have a tank out back that helps. The kids are mostly from farming families, so they are hardworking. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We are just a local school providing a place for children to sit and study. It’s practical and simple, just like the people who live here. We just take it one day at a time and keep things moving with what we have. There isn't much more to it than that at the end of the day.
