Shri Jan Kalyan Vidya Mandir

Shri Jan Kalyan Vidya Mandir is based in Shehera, which is part of the Panchmahal district. Our address is simply in Shehera, 389210. It is a rural setting, so the air is a bit clearer and it feels a bit more relaxed than the big city schools. We have a modest building with a courtyard in the middle where the students gather for morning prayers. It’s not a very big place, but it serves the children of the local farmers and workers around here. We have teachers who come in every day to go over the basic subjects. There is a lot of green around the school, which is nice when the weather is good. We have a few rooms for different grades and a small storage space for our sports gear and books. Life here follows the seasons. When it rains, we have to watch out for the mud in the yard, and when it’s dry, it gets a bit dusty. We don’t have a big website or a marketing team; we just have our school and our students. People know us because we’ve been here for a while and their older kids probably came here too. We just keep our heads down and do the work of running a school in a small town. It’s a quiet, honest kind of life at Jan Kalyan and we like serving the folks in Shehera.
