Jivandeep High School

Jivandeep High School is located in Shehera, which is part of the Panchmahal district. We’ve been operating from this same spot for quite a while, serving the families who live in and around this area. The school day usually kicks off with a bit of a rush as students come in from the surrounding villages. It is a local high school, so things are pretty down-to-earth here. We don’t have any of those fancy modern glass buildings you see in the big cities. Instead, we have solid rooms and a courtyard where the morning assembly happens. The teachers here are mostly locals who have been with us for a long time. They know the families and the kids by name. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the dust from the road blows in, but we just keep going. It’s a place where kids come to study their books, sit for their exams, and hang out with their friends during the breaks. We have the usual subjects and try to make sure everyone follows the schedule. Life at Jivandeep High School is fairly predictable, which is how we like it. We focus on the daily lessons and making sure the building stays in one piece. If you walk past our gates in the afternoon, you’ll hear the chatter of students heading home. It’s just a regular part of the Shehera community, doing what we do every day without much celebration or any unnecessary fuss.
