Gollav Vibhag Sarvajanik High School

Our school is located in Godhra, which is part of the Panchmahal district. We are known as Gollav Vibhag Sarvajanik High School. The name is a bit long, but most people just call us by the short version. We have been sitting in this spot for many years. The school serves a lot of the surrounding villages, so you see many kids arriving by bus or even walking long distances. The grounds are fairly large compared to some of the schools in the bigger cities. We have some old trees that give a lot of shade during the lunch break. The staff room is usually a mess of papers and tea cups, which is how we like it. It shows we are working. We don't have a big office or a reception desk. Usually, if a parent wants to talk, they just find a teacher in the hallway. The walls have some old posters about science and history that have been there for ages. In the winter, it gets quite cold in the mornings, so everyone wears their thick sweaters. We focus on the basics here. There is not a lot of money for anything extra, so we make do with what we have. It is an honest place. We see kids come in as children and leave as young adults ready to find work or go to college. It is just a regular school in Godhra.
