Shri Sanatan U B Vidhyalay

Our school is out in Shehera, which is part of the Panchmahal district. It’s a place that most people just pass through on their way somewhere else, but for us, it’s home. Shri Sanatan U B Vidhyalay isn't some high-tech building with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a solid, basic place where kids from around here come to get their lessons. The address is 389210 if you’re looking at a map. During the summer months, it gets pretty hot in the classrooms, but we have some fans and we just get on with things. The kids come in from the nearby villages, some on bicycles and others walking a good distance. You can hear the morning prayers from a distance if the wind is blowing the right way. We don’t really do much in the way of fancy events or big speeches. Mostly, it’s just the sound of chalk on boards and the teachers talking through the day. Panchmahal is a bit rugged, and our school reflects that. It’s practical. We have a playground that’s mostly just dirt and some grass, but the kids don’t seem to mind when they’re playing during the break. The local shops nearby know our students well. It’s been this way for quite some time now. We just try to keep the building clean and make sure the books are ready for whenever the new term starts. It's a simple life here.
