Our company is called Uaftrswo Seed Farmer Producer Company Limited and we are located in Cooch Behar. You can find us in Chhat Jaigir at Chilakhana 2nd Part which is in the Tufanganj area. We work out of Dipankar Sutardhar’s place and the pin code is 736159. Seed farming is what we do best around here. It takes a lot of care to make sure the seeds are good enough for the next season. We are a bunch of local farmers who decided to pool our resources together. It isn't always smooth sailing because seeds can be temperamental and the weather in West Bengal is never predictable. We have some basic equipment and a lot of hands-on experience that has been passed down. Our office doesn't have air conditioning or anything like that we just open the windows and let the breeze in. Most of our days are spent checking the status of what we have grown or talking to other farmers who need seeds for their own land. We don't have a big marketing budget so we just rely on people talking to each other in the market. It’s a simple way to run a business but it works for us. We just focus on the seeds and making sure they are ready when planting time comes. It is a slow process and we don't try to rush it because that is how we have always worked.
