Kushiar Bari Farmers Producer Company Limited is based right here in our village. You can find our office at Plot No. 1105. It is at Dwitya Nath Barman’s place. Both the village and the post office go by the name Kushiarbari. We fall under the Ghoksadanga police station area. This company is really just a group of us local farmers trying to get ourselves organized. We do not have a big fancy building or anything modern like that. We just use Dwitya Nath’s spot to keep our records and meet up to talk about the business. Kushiarbari is a small community where everyone knows everyone else’s business anyway. We decided to make it official so we could work better as a group. Farming is what we do every single day, so this producer company is just an extension of our lives. It is not a corporate thing with suits and ties. We are usually in our work clothes when we meet. The address on Plot 1105 is where the mail comes and where we hold our monthly meetings. Ghoksadanga is not too far away if we need to head into town for supplies. We try to keep things simple and honest for everyone involved. There is no need for big words or promises we cannot keep. We just want to farm and sell our stuff to support our families.
