Isj Foods Private Limited is located right in the middle of Birpara Bazar. If you’ve ever been to Alipurduar, you know the market is always a bit of a mess with people and trucks. Our place is right there in the thick of it. We handle different types of food products, mostly items that people use in their kitchens every day. It’s a loud place to work. You can hear the vegetable sellers shouting and the horns of the buses all day long. We have a small warehouse area where we store the sacks and boxes. My cousin and I started this a few years back. We don't have a big marketing budget or any of that stuff. We just talk to the shopkeepers and see what they need. Some days the stock moves fast, and other days it just sits there. We have to be careful with the dampness since it rains a lot in this part of the country. The roof leaked last year, so we had to fix that ourselves. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just buy food items and sell them to the local shops. It’s basic trading. We keep our records in a thick ledger book that’s starting to fall apart. It’s a lot of lifting and carrying, but it keeps us on our feet. We aren't looking to be the biggest company, just to keep our spot in the bazar running smoothly every month.
