Sai Maha Cutting Shop

Our shop is located on Sundaram Street, right in the R S Puram area of Coimbatore. We are at number 124, right near Deepa Gold Coverings. It’s a busy part of town so there is always a lot of noise from the bikes outside. I’ve lived in this city my whole life and wanted to have a small place of my own. We do haircuts and shaves for the local men and kids who live nearby. The shop isn't very big, so we have to keep things organized. We have two main chairs and a small bench for people waiting. Sometimes the wait is long, especially on weekends when the kids aren't in school. We try to work fast but we don't like to rush if someone wants a specific look. The mirrors have some scratches and the paint on the walls is getting a bit old now. We should probably paint it again next year. Most days start early before the sun gets too high. Coimbatore weather is okay, but the humidity makes the hair stick to everything. We spend a lot of time cleaning up after each person. We don’t have a website or anything like that, people just walk in. It’s how it has always been here. If you need a quick cut, you can just stop by when you see the lights on. We are usually here until late evening and then we head home.
