Kg The Chef

Kg The Chef is tucked away in Giri Nagar. We are at No 30 on the Second Street. If you know the Saibaba Colony area in Coimbatore, we are basically right behind KK Pudhur. It's a quiet neighborhood for the most part, which is nice. We started this because we liked cooking and it just grew into a business. The kitchen is where we spend most of our time. It gets hot and crowded when we are working on big orders, but we like the energy. Kavundampalayam is a good place to be based. Most of the people who come to us are locals from around the colony. We don't have a big storefront with neon lights or anything. It’s more of a local operation. Sometimes people have a hard time finding Second Street because the signs aren't great, but once they find us, they usually come back. We deal with a lot of ingredients every day, and our suppliers are mostly from the nearby markets. It’s just us doing our thing in a residential area. We try not to make too much noise for the neighbors. The building is a regular house that we've adapted for our cooking needs. It's got a homey feel because that's essentially what it is. We aren't trying to be some massive chain. We just focus on the food we make at No 30. Sometimes we run out of certain things if the market is slow that day.
