Abinaya Catering

Our place is at No 207 on 2nd Street in Gandhipuram. If you know Coimbatore, you know how busy Gandhipuram can get. It is a mix of houses and shops all around us. We do catering, so our work starts very early in the morning, often while most people are still sleeping. We have a kitchen setup where we prepare everything. It is not a big commercial factory or anything like that. It is more like a large home kitchen where several of us work together. There are always big pots and pans being moved around. We handle everything from buying the vegetables to making sure the food is packed right. The street outside is narrow, so loading the food into vans can be a bit of a squeeze sometimes. We have been doing this for a long time and we just know the flow of the work. We don't have a flashy office or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find us busy with some order or the other. Most of our work comes from people in the neighborhood who have known us for years. We don't really do much in the way of brochures or websites. We just focus on the cooking and making sure we get the timing right for the deliveries. It’s a lot of physical work, but we like staying busy.
