Geetha Canteen

Geetha Canteen is located on Kalingarayan Street in Ram Nagar. We are tucked away near the Alankar Hotel, which is a big landmark around here. It’s a small place, really more of a canteen than a full restaurant, but we keep it busy. Coimbatore can get pretty warm in the afternoons, so we usually have people coming in for a quick drink or a snack to get out of the sun. The staff here has been with us for a while, so they know how things work. We don’t have any fancy menus or decorations. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint soon, but it doesn't stop people from coming in. We get a lot of workers from the nearby offices and shops during their lunch breaks. It gets loud with all the talking and the clinking of plates, but that’s just how it is. Sometimes we run out of certain items by the evening, especially if it was a busy morning. We just write the daily specials on a board and hope for the best. Ram Nagar is a good area to be in, and being at No 109 makes us easy to find if you are walking through the street. We just try to keep the food hot and the service quick enough so people can get back to their jobs. It’s honest work and we enjoy the daily routine of it all. We don't bother with anything flashy, just the basics.
