Chinnaya Vellaisamy Catering Service

Our main kitchen is situated in the Amman Complex on Mtp Road. We are in the Santhi Medu part of the city, right near the Coimbatore Press Colony. We do a lot of catering work for local family events and different types of gatherings. It is mostly a family-run operation here. We spend a large chunk of our time cleaning those massive metal pots and getting all the food containers packed up for delivery. The early morning hours are always the most hectic because that is when all the cooking for the day has to happen. Chinnaya Vellaisamy is the name on our door, but we are just regular people working hard. We do not have a storefront where you can walk in and buy a single plate of food. We only focus on the larger orders for groups. The traffic out on Mtp Road can be a real problem when we are trying to get our delivery vans out on time. There are days when we are up at four in the morning just to get the rice started. It is physically demanding work and our hands usually smell like different spices by the end of the shift. We do not have a fancy office or a receptionist. Usually, someone just picks up the phone while they are busy in the kitchen. The complex has other shops too, so there is always people coming and going throughout the day.
