Azhagappar High Class Chettinad Restaurant

Our restaurant is tucked away on Alagesan Road in Saibaba Colony, right near the Okkiliyar Thiruman Mandapam. It’s a pretty well-known part of Coimbatore, and we’ve been part of the landscape here for some time now. We call ourselves "high class," but really, we just try to keep things tidy and comfortable for everyone who walks through the door. The Chettinad flavors are what we specialize in, mostly because that's the tradition we grew up with. It’s a busy street, so there's always something going on outside. Inside, it's just us serving plates of food to folks from around the neighborhood. We don't spend a lot of time on fancy speeches or big advertisements. Most people find us because they live nearby or they're attending something at the mandapam next door. The staff here are mostly local people who've lived in Saibaba Colony for years. We handle the lunch rush as best as we can, and sometimes it gets a bit crowded, but that's just how a busy kitchen works. We try to make sure the food tastes the same every time you visit. It’s just a straightforward place to eat if you’re in this part of town. We keep the lights on and the kitchen going from morning until night every day of the week to serve whoever comes in and needs a place to sit.
