Vijai Marble

You can find us in the Industrial Area. It’s not the prettiest part of town, but it's where the work gets done. There are always trucks moving and machines humming in the background. We’ve been here for years, surrounded by other warehouses and workshops. Our space is mostly filled with marble blocks and slabs of all different sizes. It's a gritty environment, and we’re usually covered in a bit of stone dust by the end of the day. We don't have a showroom with air conditioning or soft music. It’s just a yard and a small office where we handle the paperwork. People come to us because they want to see the raw material. We walk them through the rows of stone, pointing out the veins and the natural marks. Every piece is a bit different, which is something we remind everyone. We don't do fancy sales pitches. We just tell you how thick the slab is and where it came from. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend the afternoon fixing them, which is frustrating but that’s life in the industrial zone. We’ve got a small crew of guys who have been with us for a long time. They know how to handle the stone without breaking it. We just keep going, day after day, supplying marble to whoever needs it for their construction projects. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. We don't ask for much more than that.
