Our place is over in the Riico Industrial Area in Chandria, specifically at No. 1&2/B. We do a lot with marble chips. If you ever walk through the yard, you’ll see piles of different sized chips everywhere. It’s a bit different from the places that just sell big slabs. We have machinery that grinds things down, so there’s always a bit of a hum in the background. The white marble dust covers just about everything, from our boots to the old desk in the corner. We get the raw material in and then process it into the chips people use for flooring or landscaping. It’s a busy spot, especially with the trucks coming in from the main road. We’ve been in Chandria for a bit now and we’ve seen the industrial area grow up around us. It’s a practical business. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just make the chips and sell them to whoever needs them. Sometimes we have a lot of one color and not enough of another, so we have to manage the piles carefully. The work is steady, and it keeps us moving from morning until we close up for the night. It’s just how things work out here. No one expects anything fancy when they come to a marble chip factory, and we don't give them anything fancy either. We just focus on getting the piles sorted and the trucks loaded up.
