Pista Marble (P) Ltd.

You can find us out at Ajoliya Ka Khera, which is part of the Riico Industrial Area. We occupy a few plots, 13, 14, 17, and 18, so it’s a fairly large space we have to manage every day. At Pista Marble, the whole place is white with marble dust. It covers the floor, the machines, and even the trees that grow nearby. We spend the day moving these heavy blocks around with the cranes and cutting them into the slabs people want for their homes. It’s a noisy environment with the saws running constantly, but we don't mind it much anymore. The industrial area is always busy with trucks arriving from the quarries and others leaving to deliver the finished stone. We have a small office on the side, but mostly we are out in the yard. We don't really bother with fancy brochures or catalogs. If a customer comes, we just walk them through the rows of marble and let them touch the actual stone. Every piece is different, and explaining that takes a bit of time. Some days are slow when the orders are quiet, and other days we can't keep up with the loading. The water used for the cutting machines flows through the narrow channels, and we have to keep those clear so it doesn't flood the work area. It is a bit of a rough-and-ready way of working, but it’s what we know how to do best.
