You’ll find Ravi Marble Pvt. Ltd. over at Plot Number F-74 in the RIICO Industrial Area of Chittorgarh. We are pretty close to the Hanuman Temple, which is a good landmark if you are looking for our yard. Being in the industrial area means it’s all business around here and there isn't much else to do but work. We have a lot of stone coming in and out every single day. It is mostly marble, and we spend our time supervising the cutting and polishing. The machines are old but they still work fine if you treat them right and oil them once in a while. We aren't a corporate office with people in suits or fancy computers. We are mostly in our work clothes, getting our hands dirty with the slurry. Sometimes the stone breaks during cutting and that is just a loss we have to take. It is part of the job and you can't get too upset about it. People come to us from all over the district for their flooring needs. We try to keep a good variety of slabs so there is something for everyone’s budget. It gets very noisy in the shed when the blades are spinning, so we do a lot of shouting just to be heard. At the end of the day, we just want to make sure the person is okay with what they bought. We’ve been at this for years and it is the only thing we really know how to do well.
