Our place, Maheshwary Marbles Pvt. Ltd., is located at F 31/32 in the Riico New Industrial Area. It’s a bit of a drive out, but that’s where all the stone work happens these days. We have a lot of space for the marble slabs, which is necessary when you have as much stock as we do. The day usually starts with checking the loading schedule and seeing which trucks are arriving. It’s a lot of coordination, making sure the right slabs go to the right customers. We don’t have a lot of fancy office staff; most of us are out in the yard or near the cranes. The sun gets really hot out here in the open, but the work doesn’t stop. We’ve had this spot in the new industrial area for a bit, and it’s been a good place for us to grow. People who come to see us are usually looking for something specific for their homes or projects. We just show them what we have in the stacks. There’s no pressure, just a look at the material and a chat about the size and the price. We keep things pretty simple. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and careful moving of the stone so nothing breaks during the process. Most of our time is spent just making sure the business runs without too many hiccups. We also spend a good deal of time making sure the paperwork for the transport is in order so the trucks don't get stopped. It's a lot of small details.
