Sri Urvija Granites

We started Sri Urvija Granites a while back at 50, New Balaji Colony. This is in the Mr Palli area of Tirupati. It’s a decent spot, though it gets incredibly hot here during the summer months. We spend a lot of time out in the sun moving granite slabs around. Our place isn't anything spectacular to look at from the outside. It’s just a practical yard where we keep our stock. We don’t really do much advertising or anything like that. Most people find out about us because they live nearby in the colony or they heard from a neighbor who was doing some construction. Dealing with granite is a tough business because the material is so heavy and you have to be careful not to crack it while loading the trucks. We’ve had our fair share of long days where things didn't go as planned, but we just keep at it. The stone we have comes in all sorts of colors and we try to keep a good variety so people have choices. We aren't corporate types; we are just local folks working in Mr Palli. If you come by, you might find us busy with a crane or just sitting in the shade for a minute to escape the heat. We don't have a big philosophy or anything. We just sell stone to people who need it for their houses or projects. That’s about the long and short of it for us here in Tirupati.
