L K Reddy Granites

We run L K Reddy Granites out of our yard at Pl.No.77-2 in Valkur. It is located in the G.D. Neloore Mandal area, which is a bit of a trek if you aren't from around here. We deal with a lot of heavy stone every day. Most of what we have is stacked up in the yard, waiting for trucks to come and pick it up. It is dusty work, and we spend most of our time outside in the sun. We don't have a fancy office or a big reception area. There is just a small space where we keep the books and take orders. Most of our customers are builders or people working on their own houses who need some solid granite for floors or counters. We have different slabs sitting around, and they all have their own patterns and colors because that is how stone is. Sometimes the machinery we use to move the slabs gets a bit temperamental, but we manage to get things loaded eventually. The village of Valkur is quiet, but our yard gets noisy when the cutting and loading starts. We just focus on getting the right pieces to the right people. It is hard work on the back, but it is what we do. We’ve been at this spot for a while and have seen the village grow a little bit around us. We are just local people doing a job that involves a lot of lifting and moving of rocks.
