P.V.R. Granites

We are located at Pl.No. 2-85/1 in Gurunagar Colony. It’s a part of Kongareddypalli that has quite a few businesses like ours. P.V.R. Granites is mostly a yard where we keep the stone slabs. It is heavy work and we spend a lot of time outside in the open air. The sun gets quite strong in the middle of the day, so we usually take a longer break then. You can hear the sound of the crane moving things around quite often. There is always a layer of stone dust on everything, no matter how much we try to sweep it away. We wear old clothes because there is no point in trying to stay clean when you are moving granite all day. The neighbors in Gurunagar Colony are mostly other workshops and small offices, so they don't mind the noise much. We have a small room where we keep the computer and the bills, but most of the action happens out where the stones are. Sometimes a truck arrives late at night and we have to stay back to make sure everything is unloaded properly. It’s a physical job and our hands are always rough. We just keep going because there is always another order to prepare. It is a simple way to make a living and we have been doing it for quite some time now. We don't have a big staff, just a few guys who have been with us for years.
