Madina Marble

Madina Marble is located at 2-160, right on Big Mosque Street in Srikalahasti. It’s a busy street, especially during certain times of the year when the town gets crowded. We’ve got a variety of marbles and other stones crammed into our space. It’s not a huge showroom with lights and mirrors; it’s more of a practical place where you come to pick out the actual stone you’re going to use. Srikalahasti can get incredibly hot, so working out in the yard moving these heavy slabs is no joke. We’re usually sweating by ten in the morning, but that’s just part of the job. People from the neighborhood come to us because they know we’ve been here on Big Mosque Street for a while. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Usually, someone’s cousin or neighbor told them to come see us. We just show them what we have in stock and tell them how much it costs per square foot. We don't try to push the expensive stuff if they don't need it. It’s better to be straight with people so they come back next time. Sometimes the slabs have natural marks or variations that people don't expect, so we spend time explaining that stone comes from the earth and isn't perfect. We’re just a local business trying to do right by the people in our town, one slab at a time.
