St.Xavier High School

If you are driving down Bidarakere Road in Jagalur, you will see us right opposite the Vibhawa Hotel. St.Xavier High School is a familiar sight for people in this part of Davangere. The address is 577528 if you are looking at a map. Being across from the hotel means there is always something happening outside our front gate. It can be a bit noisy with the traffic and people coming and going from the hotel, but we have gotten used to it. The school itself is a plain building with several floors. We have classrooms for the high school students and a small office where we keep the records. St.Xavier High School isn't a place with a lot of frills. We have the standard boards and benches. In Jagalur, the weather stays mostly the same, and we just go about our business day by day. The students come from all over Davangere, some taking the bus and some walking. We spend a lot of time in the staff room talking about the lessons or the local news. It’s a very grounded kind of place. We don't put on any airs or pretend to be something we aren't. We are just a high school on Bidarakere Road. When the final bell rings, everyone heads out, and the building gets quiet until the next morning. It is a steady, predictable life for us here at St.Xavier.
