St Mary'S International School

Our school is over in Pavitraatma Nagar in Chikmagalur. Much like the rest of this region, the area is quite green and nice. Despite what the name says, we are a very local school at heart. Every morning, kids come in from all parts of the town. Well-kept as it is, the building shows its age in a few spots here and there. Students spend a lot of their time on the playground when they aren't in the classrooms. The school bell is a bit old and has a distinct sound that everyone in Pavitraatma Nagar recognizes. For a good while now, local residents have made up most of our teaching staff. Following the regular curriculum, we try to make sure every student gets some attention. Managing a full classroom isn't always easy, but we do it. Sometimes we have to deal with monkeys on the playground, but the kids know to stay away from them. Parents are usually in the office to pay fees or talk about their children's progress. Flashy events and big advertisements aren't our style. Through word of mouth from neighbors, most people hear about us. Since it gets quite cool here in Chikmagalur, the winter mornings can be a bit chilly. Telling the kids to wear their sweaters or keeping the heaters going is how we manage. Working and studying here is steady and predictable. Making sure the children learn what they need is just us doing our job at St Mary'S International School.
