Sapthagiri Residential School

Our school is tucked away in the Chigateri Layout area of Kundawada. It’s a residential school, so the kids are here most of the time during the term. Davangere is a good place for a school like this because it’s relatively quiet away from the main city traffic. We have dormitories and classrooms all on the same site, which makes things easier to manage. The kids follow a pretty set routine with breakfast, classes, and some time to play outside in the afternoons. It’s a lived-in kind of place. You’ll see laundry drying and books piled up in the common areas. We aren't trying to be one of those high-end private academies you see in the big cities. We just provide a place for students to stay and learn. The staff often eats with the students in the dining hall. It’s a bit like a large, slightly messy family sometimes. We have some trees around the grounds which give a bit of shade when it gets hot. The buildings are plain but they do the job. Parents come to visit on the weekends and the gate gets quite busy then. We just try to keep everyone safe and make sure the lessons get done every day. It’s a practical setup for families who need a boarding option in this part of Karnataka. We keep things simple and focus on the students living here.
