Vels Vidhyashram School

You can find Vels Vidhyashram School at No 1, P V Vaithyalingam Road. That is right in the heart of Pallavaram, Chennai 600043. Being on such a main road means it is always busy outside our gates. There’s the sound of horns and people moving about all day long. The school itself is a practical space. We have the standard classrooms and the administrative offices. We aren’t trying to be fancy or corporate about anything. We just provide a place for students to come and learn. Pallavaram is a crowded area, so we have a lot of students from the nearby colonies. The morning rush is always a bit of a challenge, but we get everyone inside and settled. We follow the school calendar, doing the exams and the sports days when they come around. The teachers here have been around for a while. They know the families and the kids. We don't use much promotional talk. Most people know us because we are right there on the road. It’s a solid building that’s seen a lot of students pass through over the years. We focus on the daily lessons and keeping the place running. It’s a bit of a grind sometimes, but it’s what we do. We just take it day by day and keep the focus on the books and the classes.
