Amrita Vidyalayam School

Amrita Vidyalayam School is sitting at No 4/9 in Nesapakkam. Chennai is a big, busy city, but our little area feels a bit more settled. We have been operating here for a while and the building is familiar to everyone on this street. It is a standard concrete structure that has seen a lot of students come and go. The humidity in Chennai can be tough, so the classrooms can get a bit stuffy in the afternoons. We have some trees in the front that provide a bit of shade for the parents waiting at the gate. We are not a fancy institution with a lot of money for decorations. We just have the basics that a school needs. The staff here is just a group of regular people who care about the neighborhood. We see the same faces every morning at drop-off. Most of our kids live in the 600078 zip code area. We do not have any big slogans or glossy brochures to hand out. If people want to know about us, they just come in and ask. The playground is a bit noisy because of the city sounds around us, but it is our space. We spend our days grading papers and making sure the lessons are done. It is a lot of routine, but that is how a school stays on track. We are just here doing our job every day.
