A.M.M. Matriculation Higher Secondary School

We’ve been here in Kotturpuram for a long time now. People around here know the building pretty well. It’s not the quietest spot because of the traffic, but once you get inside the gates, it feels different. We’ve got kids coming in every morning from all over the neighborhood. The hallways are usually pretty noisy until the first bell goes off. A lot of the teachers have been working here for years, so they’ve seen siblings and even some parents come through these same rooms. The playground gets a lot of use, especially in the afternoons when the sun isn't too harsh. We don't have fancy glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a solid brick building that has seen plenty of rains and summer heat. Usually, we're just busy keeping things running, making sure the desks are in good shape and the blackboards are clean. Some days it’s a bit chaotic with all the paperwork and the exams, but that is just how a big school works. We spend a lot of time on the basics. You can hear the kids reciting their lessons if you walk down the corridors during the morning sessions. It is a lot of work to manage everyone, from the primary kids to the older ones getting ready to leave. We just try to get through the day and make sure everyone learns what they need to.
