Aacini Matriculation High School

Aacini Matriculation is tucked away on Vadivel Mudali Cross Street in Ambattur. It’s not on the biggest road, but we prefer it that way because it's a bit safer for the kids. We are at number 1, Venkatrampuram. The school has a very local feel to it. Most of the staff live nearby, so we’re all part of the same community. The building is a typical school structure with stairs that have been climbed thousands of times. We don’t have fancy elevators or high-tech glass walls. Instead, we have chalkboards and rows of benches where students sit every morning. There’s always something going on, whether it’s a small argument over a pencil or a teacher trying to explain a difficult math problem. We do our best to keep everything tidy, though with hundreds of kids, it’s a constant battle. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so we try to keep the noise down, though that’s hard during recess. We’ve seen many groups of students pass through our doors and head off to college. It’s a steady, predictable life here. We don't use big words to describe what we do. It’s just teaching and learning, day in and day out. If you walk past in the afternoon, you’ll hear the hum of classes and the occasional bell ringing. It’s just how things are at a neighborhood school like ours, and we like it that way.
