A P Vivekananda

Our place, A P Vivekananda, is up on the first floor at 93, 1st Main Road in G Nagar. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but it’s quieter up here than down on the street level. We’ve been in G Nagar long enough to see the shops around us change names three or four times. We mostly stay focused on what’s on our desks. The space is filled with old wooden furniture and the windows let in a decent amount of light in the mornings. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't looking for the number, but most locals know the building. We don't really go for all that modern office look. It’s just us and the work we do. There’s a small kitchen area where we make coffee, and that’s usually where most of the talking happens. Sometimes the street noise from 1st Main Road gets a bit loud, especially when there’s a festival or a parade. We just close the windows and keep going. We don’t have any big slogans or anything. We just show up, do what needs to be done for the day, and then head out. It’s a steady routine. People who visit usually stay for a bit of a chat before getting down to business. It feels more like a home than an office sometimes. We’ve got a small balcony where we keep a few plants, but they don't grow very well.
