Velammal Vidyalaya

Velammal Vidyalaya is situated on Ayanambakam Road, specifically on Velammal Avenue. This is in the Ayanambakkam part of Chennai, zip code 600095. It is a fairly large place with a lot of movement. There are students everywhere during the day. We have various buildings and blocks for different grades. The staff stays quite busy keeping track of everything. It’s a lot of walking back and forth between the gates and the offices. The road outside can get pretty hectic with buses and cars, especially in the mornings. We have a lot of trees around the grounds which helps with the heat. It feels like a small village sometimes because there are so many people around. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks. There is always a lot of paperwork to handle and lessons to plan. The kids stay occupied with their sports and their studies. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We are just a school. The hallways are usually full of posters and student work. It can get a bit loud during the transitions between classes, but that’s just how it goes in a place like this. We have been here for some time and we are just a part of the Ayanambakkam landscape now. It’s a practical place for learning. The bell rings and everyone knows exactly where they need to be. We just keep it going one day at a time without much fuss.
