Duwaraka Foods

Our place is located in Ullagaram, right on Vembuliamman Kovil Street. We are part of the Lakshmi Enclave building, specifically in the G3 unit. Dealing with food in a busy area like Ambattur means there is always something happening. At Duwaraka Foods, the kitchen starts early in the morning. You can usually smell what we are cooking before you even get to the door. It is a small operation, mostly family and a few helpers from the neighborhood. We do not have fancy signs or a big lobby. The street outside can get quite crowded, especially during the festival times because of the temple nearby. We spend a lot of time sourcing ingredients and checking the quality of what comes in. It gets hot in the kitchen, but we are used to it by now. The space is packed with containers and supplies. We try to keep things moving so everything stays fresh. Living and working in Chennai means dealing with the heat and the traffic every day. We have been at this spot for a bit, and the neighbors know us. It is just a regular food business trying to keep up with the daily orders. Sometimes we run out of things faster than expected, but that is just part of the job. It is a lot of manual work and long hours on our feet. We do not spend money on advertising because we prefer to just focus on the cooking. The delivery guys are always coming in and out, and the phone rings quite a bit around lunchtime. It is hectic but we manage to stay on top of things most days.
