Archana (Pioneers In Quality Sweets)

We are right in the middle of T. Nagar on Usman Road. If you know Chennai, you know how crowded this street gets. Archana (Pioneers In Quality Sweets) has been making sweets here for a long time. People usually find us by the smell of the kitchen when we are frying things or boiling sugar. We are at number 70. It’s a small shop, and it can get really cramped when there’s a festival coming up. We don't have a fancy corporate office. Everything happens right here in the shop. We spend our mornings preparing the batches and our evenings serving the crowds. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day. We use simple recipes that have been around for years. We aren't trying to reinvent anything. We just want to make stuff that tastes like it should. The counters are usually full of different trays of milk sweets and snacks. Sometimes we run out of the popular things before the day is over. We don't do much in the way of decoration. It’s just the sweets and us. The staff has been here for years, and we all know how the routine goes. It’s a bit messy and loud, but that’s just T. Nagar life. We are just a local sweet shop doing our thing every day for the people who walk past our door.
