You can find us at 175-A on Greenways Road, right in the middle of R.A. Puram. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time, and the building has seen its fair share of wear and tear. Every day, we start by boiling down the milk and getting the sugar ready for the different batches of sweets. It’s a lot of manual work, stirring big pots and making sure nothing burns on the bottom. R.A. Puram is a busy part of town, so there’s always noise coming in from the street while we work. We have a small area in the front where people come in to buy boxes for their families or for some local event. The back area is where the real work happens, with the cooling trays and the cutting tables. It gets pretty sticky in there during the summer months, but we’re used to it by now. We don't spend much time on decorations; we just make sure the sweets are fresh and the boxes are packed right. Sometimes we run out of certain things by the afternoon if it’s been a particularly crowded day. People know us by the address more than anything else. It's just a regular sweets business, trying to keep up with the daily demand from the neighborhood.
