Five Star Food Makers

We've been at 122/2 on Poosana Ganga Reddy Street for some time now. Egmore is a busy spot, and our kitchen stays pretty active throughout the day. People sometimes ask about the name Five Star Food Makers, but really we're just a small team trying to get plates out on time. It gets hot in the kitchen, especially during the lunch rush when the orders start piling up. We don't have a fancy office or a big reception area. It’s mostly just us working with ingredients and making sure everything is cooked right. The street outside can be noisy with traffic, but you get used to it after a few months. Some days are smoother than others. Sometimes the delivery truck is late or a burner acts up, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We started this because we liked being around food and it seemed like a good way to stay busy. We aren't trying to change the world or anything like that. We just want to make sure the folks who order from us get their food without any fuss. The neighbors know us by now, and we see the same faces walking past our door every morning. It’s a simple setup we have here in Egmore, nothing too complicated. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep the counters clean while we work. It’s a job we’ve grown to like over the years.
