Saligramam is a busy part of Chennai. We are tucked away at 1/1, Ssr Pankajam Road. It’s on the 1st Cross Street. The roads are narrow so if two cars meet, it’s a mess. We work with food stuff. It’s a lot of prep work and making sure things stay fresh. Our kitchen area isn't massive but we make it work. Every morning starts with a lot of shouting and moving things around. We have a few delivery bikes that go in and out all day. Turnfoods is what we call it, but it’s really just a team of people who like to cook and package things. We don't have a big corporate manual. We just know what needs to get done by noon. Sometimes we run out of ingredients and someone has to run to the market. It’s chaotic but we like it. The fans are always on full blast because of the heat. We don't do big advertisements. Most people hear about us from their cousins or friends. We just focus on the daily tasks. If the food is good, people come back. That’s our logic. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in India. We just want to make sure the boxes are packed right and sent on time. It’s a lot of standing on your feet. By the end of the shift, we’re all pretty worn out. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know how to do here in Saligramam.
