Stop At Sams

Our little place is on TTK Road in Alwarpet. It’s an old part of town with a lot of history, and we’re happy to be tucked away at number 282/1. People in Chennai know this area gets pretty jammed up with traffic, especially in the evenings. We’ve got a lot of locals who walk over from the nearby houses. We aren't a big corporate chain with a manual for everything. Sams is just a spot where the atmosphere is casual and nobody is rushing you out the door. We spend a lot of time cleaning up and making sure things are ready for the dinner crowd. Sometimes the air conditioning struggles a bit when it's really hot outside, but that’s just Chennai weather for you. We try to keep the menu straightforward. We don't have a huge marketing team or anything like that; it’s just us and a few helpers in the back. Usually, you’ll find one of us hanging around the front talking to the regulars. It’s a bit of a cozy mess sometimes, especially when we have a lot of delivery drivers waiting around. But we like it that way. It feels real. If you’re around Alwarpet and want a place that isn't trying too hard to be trendy, you should just stop by and see us. We’re usually here until late, just keeping things going as best we can.
