Our place, Thiruvalluvar Vilayattukudam Private Limited, is tucked away on 2nd Street in Venkatesha Nagar. If you’re around the Chennai City Corporation area, you might have passed by us without even noticing. We’ve been here at number 65 for some time. It’s a local setup where we focus on sports and physical activities, which is what the name is all about. The building isn't anything to look at from the outside, but inside we’ve got enough room for what we need to do. Every day is a bit different here. Some days it’s quiet and we’re just catching up on maintenance, and other days it gets quite loud when people are around. Being in a residential street like Venkatesha Nagar means we try to keep things respectful for the neighbors. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy stuff for us. It’s just us handling the equipment and making sure the space is ready for use. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the street a bit difficult to navigate, but we stay open. It’s a simple operation really. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the folks who stop by. There’s no big corporate vibe here. We just like what we do and we’ve been doing it in this part of Chennai for a good while. We keep the doors open and just take things as they come. It’s not much, but it’s our way of contributing to the neighborhood.
