The Pupil Saveetha Eco School

We are located out on Thiruverkkadu Road in Poonamallee, specifically at number 4/68. It’s a bit away from the main city center, which gives us a different kind of atmosphere. The eco part of our name comes from how we try to keep things a bit more green around the grounds. There are trees and some open space where the air feels a little fresher than in the middle of Chennai. The school day starts early, and you can hear the birds before the kids arrive and things get noisy. Our buildings are designed to be functional and simple. We have classrooms that get plenty of light, and we try to use the outdoor areas whenever the weather allows for it. The staff here mostly worries about the daily schedule and making sure the lessons are covered. We aren't into big, glossy brochures. Mostly, parents find out about us because they live nearby or they’ve seen the kids walking home in their uniforms. It’s a place where we try to be sensible about things like water and waste, but at the end of the day, we’re still just a school with exams to pass and lessons to learn. The 600056 area is growing fast, and we’re just part of that growth. It’s a lot of work keeping up with everything, but we stay busy and keep the school running as best as we can.
