Sri Sai General Stores

Down here in Porur, things move at their own pace. We are located on Ponniyamman Koil Street in Ponni Nagar. It’s a quiet enough corner of Karambakkam compared to the main roads. We have been running this store for some time now. It’s just a regular general store where people come to get their groceries and home items. The address is No.4/25, if you’re looking for the exact door. Usually, it’s quite hot during the day, so we appreciate the shade from the buildings around us. We see a lot of the same faces every single morning. People come in for their milk, bread, or whatever they forgot to buy earlier in the week. We keep a bit of everything because you never know what someone might need at the last minute. It is just me and a couple of others helping out. Sometimes the stock doesn't arrive on time, and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow, but mostly it works out okay. Chennai can be a bit frantic, but inside the shop, it’s mostly just chatting about the weather or local news. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just open the shutters and wait for the day to start. It’s a simple life, keeping the shelves full and the floor swept. If you live nearby, you probably already know where we are.
