Sri Krish International School

Sri Krish International School is at No 1/191A, Rajiv Gandhi Nagar on the Kunrathur Main Road in Kovur, Chennai. This part of the city is always buzzing with the sound of trucks and motorcycles heading toward the main hubs. Our school building is right in the middle of all that activity. Chennai is famous for its heat, and here in Kovur, it is no different. We spend a lot of time making sure the fans are on and that everyone has enough water to drink. The building has a few floors, and the view from the top looks out over the rooftops of Rajiv Gandhi Nagar. Inside, the classrooms are filled with the usual stuff like charts, maps, and half-used boxes of chalk. We have a small office where the phone rings constantly with questions about the bus or the schedule. The staff room is a tight squeeze, usually filled with our bags and the smell of coffee. Most of us live nearby, so we are used to the humidity and the constant noise of the main road. We do not have any grand ideas, we just show up and make sure the day goes as planned. The school bell is the only thing louder than the traffic outside, and it is a sound we all look forward to at the end of our shift. It is a busy place on a very busy road.
