Sri Ganapathy Store

You can find us over at 18, 1St Main Road in Perungudi. We are tucked away near the Neelankarai Link Road. It’s a busy little area and we’ve been part of the Seevaram neighborhood for a long time. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack things pretty high to make everything fit. If you are looking for specific spices or just some tea leaves, we usually have them tucked away somewhere on the shelves. Sometimes the delivery truck comes late and blocks the entrance for a few minutes, which can be a bit of a headache for the neighbors. We mostly deal with the families living right around here. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, but the fan keeps things moving. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop where people can walk in and pick out what they want. It’s mostly dry goods and daily essentials. My brother usually handles the morning shift while I take over in the evenings. We know most of our customers by their names since they’ve been coming here for years. It’s a straightforward place with no bells or whistles. Just a regular store serving the local community here in Chennai. We try to stay open even when it rains or the traffic outside gets really heavy.
