Sri Bala Vidyalaya School

Down here in Perambur, at No 125 on MH Road, you will find our school. Chennai is a big place, but this little corner of Perambur feels like home to us. We have been running things here for a while, just sticking to the basics of teaching. The morning starts early because the sun gets hot pretty fast. You see the kids coming in with their bags, some look sleepy and others are already running around. We keep the place clean as much as we can, but with so many feet coming through, there is always a bit of dust. It is a local school for local families. We do not try to be anything we are not. The classrooms are filled with the usual sounds of pencils scratching and teachers explaining things. Being on MH Road means we are right in the middle of everything. It is convenient for parents who work nearby. They can just drop the kids off and head to their jobs. We have a small staff who have been with us through many years. They know the families by name. It is not a corporate setup at all. It is just a group of people making sure the neighborhood children get their schooling done properly. We stay open until the afternoon and then everyone heads home to beat the evening rush. It is a simple life for us here, just teaching and helping where we can in Perambur.
