Spingz Forzen Foods

Spingz Forzen Foods is located at number 34 on Kattur Sadayappan Street in Periamet. It’s a narrow little street, and if a large truck gets stuck, the whole road basically stops until they can wiggle it out. Our building is mostly taken up by the big freezer units we need for the food. Because of that, it’s always a bit chilly inside, even when the Chennai sun is beating down outside. We wear jackets even in the middle of summer, which people always find a bit funny when they visit. The office is just a small partitioned area near the front door where we keep the ledgers and the delivery schedules. It’s a bit cramped with all the boxes, and the hum of the refrigeration machinery is a constant background noise that we don't even notice anymore. We spend a lot of time checking temperatures and making sure the delivery boys know where they’re going. It’s a small team here, so we all know each other’s families and what’s going on in the neighborhood. Periamet has a lot of history, and we feel like a part of the local fabric. We don’t have a big corporate strategy or anything like that; we just focus on keeping the food frozen and getting it to the shops that need it. It’s basic, hard work, but it keeps us busy and we like the people we work with.
