S.K Narayanaswamy Stores

We are located on the main Poonamalle High Road in Aminjikarai. If you know the local market area, we are just a short walk from there. Our address is No. 614/658, which sounds like a lot of numbers, but it is just one shop where we sell all kinds of groceries. Traffic on PH road is always a bit much, especially during the morning rush when everyone is heading towards Central. Doors open around seven and we stay until the evening. It is a family-run place through and through. My uncle started it years ago, and now we all help out to keep things moving. Shelves are packed with pulses, oils, and big bags of flour. A lot of people come in from the market nearby because they might have missed something there or want a specific brand we keep in stock. It is a busy environment and there is always something to do, whether it is weighing out sugar or cleaning the floor. Space is tight once the morning stock arrives on the truck. You have to step over boxes and bags for a bit until we get everything put away in its place. Serving the people who live in Aminjikarai is a simple life for us. Many shops have come and gone on this road, but we have managed to stay put by just doing our thing every day without any complaints or fancy changes to the way we work.
