Down here at No.1/9, Vaidyanathan Street, things stay pretty busy throughout the day. Shree Aadeshwar Innovations India is the name we put on the door, and we’ve been here for several years now. Tondiarpet is a crowded area, so there’s always a lot of noise and movement right outside our front step. We deal with various technical parts and ideas people bring to us to see if they can be made better. It’s mostly about figuring out how to make a piece of machinery or a tool work better. The space we have isn't exactly huge, but we make it work by staying organized. We’ve got some heavy machines in the back that take up most of the room. Sometimes the power goes out in the middle of a job, which is a real pain, but we just wait it out and get back to it. It’s mostly just a few of us working here. We don't wear suits or anything like that; just regular work clothes that tend to get dirty pretty fast. We’ve been at this address for a good bit now and the locals know us. If a part can't be fixed or made, we just say so. It’s easier than making promises we can't keep. Sometimes we stay late when a project gets really complicated and we need some peace to think. The street finally gets quiet at night. We just like solving the little puzzles that come with these innovations.
